Celebrate Filipino Independence in June with your Asians &Friends friends.

 

What: Filipino Independence Party and Kamayan Feast

 

When: Saturday, June 18th, 7 pm.

 

Where: Dick’s house way out in west Houston, 15822 Manfield Dr. Houston, Tx 77082-2927.

 

Why: A chance for a delicious cultural experience!

 

How much: This event will be catered (by Noel and the rest of the board). $15 for members/$20 non-members. (Join or renew Saturday and pay member prices.)

 

Imagine having a picnic in a tropical setting where you're free to taste, touch and savor a feast of textures laid on top of fragrant rice. Picture yourself using your hand to feed yourself from a bed of banana leaves as your plate.  This is what you will experience at a Kamayan Feast. Kamayan is the experience of eating with your hands.  In celebration of Filipino Independence this June, we would like to invite you to feast with us and witness the Mabuhay experience of the Filipino people.
