Your intrepid and always self-sacrificing board made a test run to Hugo’s Sunday brunch and can attest that “every bite was exquisite.”  Now you have the opportunity to see for yourself!

Wait, there’s more!  Hugo’s executive chef, Hugo Ortega, was recently named Best Chef: Southwest at the prestigious 2017 James Beard Foundation Awards.

Twenty-five years ago there was barely an internet and no smart phones. There was no gay,com, OKCupid, Grindr, Tinder, Silver Foxes, Adam4Adam,  Scruff, Blued or GROWLR.  If a gay person (no LGBTQ yet) wanted to meet other gay people with similar interests, you had to go to the bars or join groups and go to parties and introduce yourself to people!

And then there was Asians & Friends Houston. For twenty-five years Asians & Friends Houston has been a social meetup group for Asians and anyone else interested in the cultures and peoples of Asia. It has also been a place of coming out for many people and a support group for bicultural couples.

Asians & Friends Houston is the longest running gay Asian social organization of any kind in Houston. And we wanted our 25th anniversary party to be fabulous and unique (but also laid-back, social and affordable). So of course we thought SUNDAY BRUNCH!
